AJAX v Beaumaris

D1 team took on Beaumaris reserves at 11:40am at Banksia Reserve Oval. In a great return to football for AJAX, the D1 boys walked away 51-point winners.

The Jackas wasted no time getting back into the swing of things. In a fantastic first quarter, they outscored Beaumaris 4 goals to 1. Brandon Joel, who starred in the first term was the main target upfront. He kicked 5 goals for the game and helped AJAX have an 18-point lead at quarter time. 

AJAX picked up where they left off in the second quarter. Reece Israel was fantastic. Kicking 3 goals for the game he propelled the Jackas forward helping them kick 2 goals for the quarter. The AJAX defence was as reliable as ever. They held Beaumaris to just 2 goals in the first half and led by 25 points at the main break.

AJAX were in control for the remainder of the contest. Everyone played their role and it showed. The Jackas kept Beaumaris to just 5 goals for the game and were able to kick 7 goals in the second half to walk winners.
