Senior Men Head Coach
Wayne Oswald
Wayne has previously been involved at the Club in 2019, coaching the then U19 team, and is familiar with many of our senior players.
Wayne is a highly experienced sports program director and coach with a development and inclusion focussed philosophy. His extensive experience working with major AFL football clubs, AFL pathway clubs, School Football Clubs and Community Football Clubs in both paid and volunteer capacities is a huge benefit to our Club.
His passion for the Club and our players is evident and he is looking forward to a positive and impactful approach to the Club.
We welcome Wayne and his wife Leanne to our Club.
Senior Men Assistant Coach
David Fayman
We are excited to welcome David Fayman to our coaching group for 2024. David is no stranger to the Club and in 2022 was honoured with Life Membership.
David is our most successful Forward and highest goal kicker in the history of our club, as well as numerous Golden Boot Awards with both AJAX and VAFA. His football knowledge and dedication to the Club will be a huge lift to not just the forward line but the entire playing group.
His many years of playing at high level football will only serve as a valuable asset to the players.
We welcome David and his wife Toni to our Club.
Reserves Head Coach
Daniel Freed
As a former player and premiership winner in 2011, Daniel brings experience and a great football mind to the Reserves team.
Daniel has been assisting coaching the Jackettes since 2019 and prides himself on his knowledge and analytics of the game. His core values and work ethic are second to none and we are excited for him to continue the development of our young list of players in the Men's Reserves who are vying to break into the senior team.
We welcome Daniel and his young family to AJAX!
Reserves Assistant Coach
Rubin Winograd
Rubin is passionate about sport and the Jewish community. He played AJAX juniors, under 19's and nine years for AJAX seniors. Through his time at AJAX, Rubin has made life long friends and values the importance of community sport and its ability to bring people together.
You only get out what you put in, and Rubin is thankful for what the club gave him and he is keen to give back and play his role. As much as he misses playing football, Rubin still plays basketball and squash, going on hiking trips and spending time with friends and family.

Womens Head Coach
Michael Ford
After working at a number of schools including Mt Scopus Memorial College, Michael has an extensive background in developing footballers of all ages. He has coached men and women’s programs in semi professional, school level and at community club environments. He has a background in a variety of sports having played Football and Australian Rules professionally.
His coaching credentials include Assistant Coach Sandringham FC, Oakleigh FC, Springvale FC Premiers 1995, Melbourne Grammar (2 Premierships) 1999-2014, Casey Demons Defensive line Coach & Williamstown FC Development Coach.
Michael has given an undertaking to provide a strong learning environment while ensuring that the women’s program maintains its strong links to community including developing the women into being ‘simply better’.
We welcome Michael and his partner Dionne to our Club.
Saturday Thirds Coach
Adam Micmacher
Coach A takes us into the second year of coaching the Saturday thirds. Former AJAX player and now Premiership Coach alongside Cookie, Adam brings much experience to coaching. Giving the players much joy in playing football, his weekly Droshas are much relished, spurning the team on to the next week's match.
Saturday Thirds Coach
Antony Klooger
Antony (Cookie) Klooger former player, Club Captain and Best & Fairest winner and Premiership Coach joins the Saturday Thirds again to coach the team in 2024. Cookie brings his football knowledge and expertise to the role and is a real asset to the team and the Club.
Sunday Thirds Coach
Ryan White
Ryan is an AJAX man through and through, having played juniors, U19's in 2011 and been a part of the senior program since 2012. Having played 160 games and kicking 142 goals, he retired from playing midway through season 2022, Whitey has transitioned to a coaching role.
He has been coaching sport for over 15 years - both football and basketball and is excited to begin this new chapter in his and the Club's timeline. Moving to Head Coach Sunday Thirds Team in 2024 gives Ryan the opportunity to shape many exciting new players as well as experienced players in that team.
Assistant Coach Sunday Thirds
Samantha Hall
Having played for the Jackettes at Senior level for a few years, Samantha has always had a passion to Coach from a young age. She wants to engender a safe, friendly environment in which players can develop to their full potential and her aim is to improve players' skill sets and create better people.
Samantha is currently undertaking Level 2 coaching and is enjoying learning many new skills and information. She has Coaching experience - previously Assisting AJAX Junior U12 girls and U14's girls teams, and after retiring from playing she moved to assisting the Coach of the Sunday Thirds team.
When she is not immersed in football which is rare, she enjoys spending time with her husband and dogs, going out with friends, cooking, watching tennis, Hawthorn football club and AJAX football. A former high level tennis player she also coached tennis for 6 years.
