Player Participation Agreement
A. Participant Bound by Club Rules, Regulations and policies of the Club.
By acknowledging the Rules and Code of Conduct contained in this Registration Form, the Participant agrees:
- To comply with and observe the AFL Member Protection Policy, the Rules, Regulations and the Policies of the Club, the VAFA Player Code of Conduct, and Maccabi Victoria Integrity Policy as they are presently constituted and as amended from time to time.
- They may inspect copies of the Rules, Regulations and Policies of the Club, the VAFA, Maccabi Victoria, AFL and Club websites.
- That if they fail to adhere to the Rules, Regulations, and the Policies of either the Club, the VAFA, AFL, Maccabi Victoria, this may result him/her being de-registered and/or other sanctions, and:
- To adhere to the Code of Conduct and Values of the Club as set out in Club Rules
B. Assumption of Risk
By reading this Registration Form, the Participant acknowledges and agrees that:
- Australian Football is a vigorous body contact sport in which physical injury is likely to occur from time to time:
- They are nonetheless desirous of playing Australian Rules Football for the Club, and:
- They take it upon themselves the risk (both physical and legal) of injury arising while training and/or participating in the game of Australian Rules Football
- The Club recommends that each Participant has current & up to date Personal Health Insurance that would cover them for any injuries that may occur during training or participating in the game of AFL for the Club
C. Requirements for Participant Registration
By reading this Registration Form, the Participant acknowledges and agrees that:
- All Participants must be registered with the VAFA & the Club and have completed the Registration process via the Club website by the date as advised by the Club. No Participants will be allowed to take the field or train without having fully completed the registration process ie. Completion of registration information via Club website.
- All Participant agree to abide by Club Rules and Code of Conduct, Values, Social Media Policy as they appear on Club Website.
- All Participants must complete medical information on player profile via website
- It is the responsibility of each Participant to maintain and update their player profile with up to date and correct health & contact details on Club website
- New Participants may be registered anytime throughout the season with the Club, however the Participant must be registered with VAFA prior to 30 June in that year.
- For a new Participant to take the field the registration must be completed no later than the Thursday preceding the next round. NOT on match days
- A Participant wishing to transfer to another club in the league must complete a transfer form. Transfer forms are available on request via email to Club Secretary
- A Club may decline a participant to transfer if the Participant is in possession of Club property (jumper/guernsey etc) or owes the Club money
- Special consideration will be accepted in reference to clearances
- A Participant must have fully paid for their Registration no later than round 4 in each competition calendar. A payment plan may be arranged as agreed with Club Secretary & Treasurer
