AJAX v De La Salle

The Sunday Thirds took on De La Salle at Gary Smorgon Oval at noon. After winning three games in a row a fourth wasn't meant to be. The Thirds were defeated by 66 points.

The first quarter was contested and gritty. Despite AJAX only kicking the one goal their defence held strong and kept them in the contest. 

Aaron Fetter and Eli Adelist tried to keep the Jackas in the game during the second quarter, but their defence couldn't withstand the De La Salle pressure. De La Salle kicked 5 goals in the quarter to AJAXS’ 2 as the Jackas trailed by 32 points at halftime.

The third term saw the AJAX defence hold strong. They only allowed 1 goal kicked against them and dealt with everything that came their way. Despite this, the Jackas couldn't build on this great defensive performance only kicking 1 goal themselves as they trailed 62-27 at three-quarter time. 

The last quarter saw the Thirds struggle to chip away at De La Salle's lead. AJAX kicked just one goal against De La Salles 5 and were defeated 5.3 33 to 14.15 99.
