AJAX v Beaumaris

The Sunday Thirds took on Beaumaris ironically on Monday at 7 PM on the Harry Trott Oval. It was a fantastic performance from AJAX as they make it two wins in a row. 

The Jackas were on from minute one. A fantastic opening quarter saw them kick 4.4 to Beaumaris 2.1. Jake Jones who kicked 5 goals for the game looked dangerous early on and paired well in the forward line with Samuel Paneth (2 goals for the game).

The Thirds never looked like losing. In a lower-scoring second term, their defence held strong restricting Beaumaris to just one goal and were able to increase their lead by kicking 2 themselves. 

The second half was where AJAX put their foot down and sealed their victory. 

The Jackas held Beaumaris to just 5 points during the third and fourth quarter. Influential performances from Sam Brygel and Aryeh Josefsberg-Blum helped AJAX kick 3 goals after half time and walk away 40-point winners.  

Next week the Sunday Thirds take on the Monash Blues on the Frearson Oval at 10:30 AM, hoping to make it three wins in a row.
