AJAX v Old Trinity

The Sunday Thirds took on Old Trinity at Hudson Oval at 12pm and in a tight contest throughout went down by 5 points.

In what was sluggish start the Jackas found themselves down by 19 points at quarter time and struggled to make any inroads despite excellent play from Josh Jones (2 goals) and Mendy Gestetner and were down by 27 at the main break. AJAX managed to hit the score board more frequently in the third term and were able to hold Old Trinity to only 2 goals for the quarter. In what was a fantastic last quarter effort by the team, AJAX kicked 5 goals to Old Trinity’s 2 but ran out of time to take the lead ultimately being defeated by 5 points in a valiant effort.

Next week the Sunday Thirds take on Old Xavierians at Gary Smorgon Oval at 12 PM.
