AJAX v Old Brighton
The Sunday thirds took on Old Brighton at 12pm on the Gary Smorgon Oval, walking away victorious 10.9 69 to 6.5 41.
It what was a fantastic four quarter performance the Jackas lead at every break thanks to terrific performances from Samuel Paneth & Joshua Jones (2 goals).
It was a tightly contested game for three quarters with neither team giving an inch nor letting the game get away from them. At three quarter time AJAX found themselves up by 3 points.
In a fantastic last quarter flurry lead by Eli Adelist and Ezra Herszberg (1 goal) the Jackas kicked 4 goals in the final term to Old Brighton’s one behind. Allowing them to close the door on any potential fight back from the opposition. It was a fantastic result for the team who bounced back from a round 1 defeat to Fitzroy.
The Sunday thirds take on Old Trinity at Daley Oval at 2pm.
