AJAX v Beaumaris

Sunday Thirds

The Sunday Thirds took on Beaumaris at 7:00pm at Banksia Reserve with the game taking place on a Monday evening. 

AJAX were the better side all day. Leading at every break and walking away winners 69-48. 

The first quarter was a tight and fiery contest. The Jackas weren't able to put any distance between themselves and Beaumaris on the scoreboard. Fantastic play from Ezra Herszberg (3 goals for the game and amongst the best on the ground) saw AJAX go in with a slender 7 point lead at quarter time. 

The second quarter was where AJAX began to give themselves some breathing room. Their defence was solid, only conceding one goal for the quarter. Naftali Roth and Aaron Fetter lead by example as AJAX went into halftime with a 15 point advantage. 

The second half saw AJAX kick away. Sam Brygel (2 goals for the game) was dominant as the Jackas kicked 3 goals in the quarter to help give AJAX a 14 point lead at the last break. 

The final term saw AJAX and Beaumaris go goal for goal early on. But a great performance from Ben Menahem allowed AJAX to stay in control for the entire last quarter. It was another great performance from the Sunday thirds who walked away winners by 21 points.
