AJAX v Whitefriars Football Club

The D2 team took on Whitefriars Football Club at 9:20 AM on Whitefriars College Oval. It was another fantastic win for AJAX walking away victors 11.15 81 to 3.9 27. 

It was a tightly contested opening quarter with AJAX only able to kick 2 goals. Jake Liberman battled hard to increase the Jackas lead but some inaccurate goal kicking saw them lead only 2.4 16 to 0.4 4 at quarter time.

The second quarter was much of the same. Great pressure from AJAX saw Whitefriars kick 1.7 for the term while AJAX were able to kick one goal. Again, inaccurate kicking didn't allow the Jackas to grab full control of the game and went into halftime with a 14-point lead.

After a halftime rev-up, AJAX came out all guns blazing. Lead by Kai Gold (2 goals for the game) and Samuel Polkinghorne-Katz the D2 boys blew the game wide open. Kicking 5 goals for the quarter and restricting Whitefriars to one behind. This tremendous quarter saw AJAX go into the final break 45 points in front.

AJAX continued its momentum in the last quarter. Their defence was fantastic all day only allowing 3 goals kicked for the game (2 in the last quarter). Great play from Brandon Glasser and Jack Davis meant AJAX kicked 3 goals in the final term to walk away 54-point winners.
