AJAX v PEGS away
Our AJAX reserves came out on top in a dominant performance against Pegs in Essendon over the weekend, sealing a convincing 72-point victory. With the final scoreline reading 14.21 (105) to 7.8 (50), the reserves carried their early season form.
The match didn't kick off smoothly for the AJAX’s reserves, as they found themselves trailing by four points at quarter time. However, they quickly bounced back, flipping the script with an impressive display in the second quarter. Scoring 8 out of the next 9 goals, AJAX surged ahead by 31 points at halftime.
AJAX’s midfield, led by Maor Chrapot, maintained their control in the second half, whilst Daniel Goodman and Jesse Velleman had a day out with 3 goals each, further extending their lead to a commanding 47 points by the end of the third quarter. It was a testament to their resilience and determination, bouncing back from their slow start and now dominating the game.
Looking forward, AJAX is gearing up for the annual Yom HaShoah game at Princes Park against Glen Eira at 11:25. It's set to be a special day for the club as well as the community.
