AJAX v Fitzroy - Away

In an away game crucial for the chance of AJAX playing finals, the sunday 1s came away with their first win for the season with an emphatic 146-63 thumping over Fitzroy.

A strong first term by both sides saw the scores separated by only two points (38-36) with both sides scoring well on a windy day. However it was the second quarter where AJAX pulled ahead, piling on seven goals to Fitzroy's one to go into half time ahead 85-47. 

In the second half, the focus for the sunday's boys was to keep their intensity, after a disappointing comeback loss last week. scoring 9 goals to 2 in the second half, AJAX certainly finished the game strong, sending out a message to their new competition in the Premier division. Highlights from first year player J. Parasol (4 goals) and spearhead A.Meyerowitz (5 goals) capped off a phenomenal team performance featuring 10 individual goalscorers in the Sundays maiden Premier division win. 

The results of this game put them in a great position ahead of next week's game against Old Brighton, playing their first home game on Gary Smorgon Oval.
