Match Report
Round 6
Saturday 17 May 2025
AJAX v Parkside
Heading into round 6 undefeated, we came out with intent, structure, and belief—and that translated into a performance that reaffirmed to everyone that AJAX is a serious contender in 2025.
Early into the game the rain started coming down and the opposition tried to disrupt our rhythm with a congested setup and defensive mindset, we stayed composed and trusted our system. The boys played the wet conditions well and despite the scoreboard not reflecting the story early on, we felt in control.
Reece Israel was outstanding all day playing a key role on the wing. Nicholas Lewis continued his strong inside work in the midfield and it was a welcomed addition having Aaron Bryer and Eiden Pitt come back into the team who both played their roles well and were recognised in the best 6 on the ground.
A strong second half saw us pile on the pressure, and the final score of 55-22 was a just reward for a tough game of footy in wet conditions.
The seniors have now featured 37 players this year only in round 6. With an undefeated record, the squad has shown great resilience and signs of great depth.
Congratulations to Ryan Herman who played his first senior game on the weekend.
