AJAX v Parkdale - Away

AJAX took on fellow unbeaten side Parkdale Vultures in what was always going to be a tough contest. The boys started strongly, jumping out to a four-goal lead by quarter time with some sharp ball movement and scoreboard pressure.

Parkdale responded in the middle quarters, gradually working their way back into the game and making it a close one by three-quarter time. The final term was a high-scoring affair. Parkdale got out to a four-goal lead late, but Ajax kept fighting and managed to bring the margin back to just a goal before the Vultures steadied to win by 10 points.

There were plenty of solid performances. Max Herzl was strong up forward with three goals and gave us great effort in the ruck. Nick Pike and Maor Chrapot both hit the scoreboard from the midfield. Zac Nissen made an impressive debut, including a goal, and Bailey Nussbaum was our best on ground with a consistent four-quarter performance.

Plenty to take from the match as we look ahead to the rest of the season.
