AJAX v Hampton Rovers - Home

AJAX arrived at their first game at their home turf Gary Smorgon Oval to battle out with another quality opposition Hampton Rovers after taking plenty of learnings out of last week’s loss. 

The first half looked to be an extremely contested battle with bouts of 5-10minutes of continuous stoppages. After 3 first half goals from AJAX's Maor Chrapot, the team seemed confident heading into the second half ahead by 8 points. 

The 3rd quarter saw AJAX break the game open with some strong movement through the centre of the ground pushing the lead out to 25 points at 3 quarter time. 

Toby Lipton was once again solid in defence and compounded by AJAX's prominent small forward brigade hitting the scoreboard when needed, saw them run away 46 point winners (13.13.91 - 6.9.45).

AJAX ultimately now have their sights set on Monash Blues who they face next week at Gary Smorgon Oval.
